Recap: Kafe Bohem TNT
The newly opened Kafe Bohem was no less than a perfect host for October’s TNT. Within their beautiful new space, they kept us supplied with delicious house made pastries and awesome cocktails from the Bistro Bohem bar next door.
The bracket filled up quick and the free DC Brau went quicker. The night moved along at a great pace and everyone seemed to be enjoying their time getting cozy in the new cafe or getting drinks from Erin down the hall.
The night’s judges included Colin Whitcomb (last month’s champ), Bohem’s own Lenora Yerkes and Greer Gilchrist from Blind Dog.
The final round came down to Amanda from Dolcezza and Emily from Big Bear Cafe. They chose to pour into cosmo glasses, except there was a catch. They had to choose someone else to steam their milk. Amanda chose Trevor and Emily chose yours truly.
It was a tough call, but Emily (B) took it two to one. Great job, ladies!!
Big thanks to Jarek Mika and Lenora Yerkes for being great hosts and sharing their new coffee venture with us and to Julius Meinl for the espresso. We will definitely be back, for throwdowns, dinner, cocktails, pastries… and of course coffee.
